Georgia Releases Injury Report Ahead of SEC Clash with Tennessee
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Southeastern Conference has released its weekly injury report, detailing the availability of Georgia players for Saturday’s game against Tennessee. This marks the second season the SEC has implemented reporting policies for teams prior to conference matchups.
The SEC distributes daily reports on Wednesdays, thursdays, and Fridays, with a final update 90 minutes before game time. Georgia’s report lists five players, with offensive tackle Earnest Greene designated as probable and offensive guard juan gaston as questionable. Three freshmen are listed as out.
“This is not a game that you want somebody out there that’s not 100% healthy out there playing,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said on Wednesday, Sept. 10. “It’s going to be physical, it’s going to be speedy, it’s going to be violent. All SEC games are, but this one really is going to be that way.”
Smart noted on Tuesday that Gaston and Greene had demonstrated “good progress” in practice. “I really liked the way both of them looked,” he said. “I like the reps took. … We’ve got to make a good judgement.”
Here’s a breakdown of Georgia’s injury report:
