Chung-Ang University Forges‍ International Ties to ‌Lead in​ Metaverse & ICT

Chung-Ang University is actively‌ positioning itself as ‌a global leader in advanced ‍Data and Interaction Technology (ICT) and the metaverse, focusing on‌ building strong international ​collaborations to ​establish a thriving⁤ virtual​ convergence economy ecosystem.

The university recently ⁤hosted the “2025 Global Virtual Convergence Economy Conference” in Hanoi,Vietnam,on November 19th,in partnership with the Realistic Media⁣ Innovation Convergence College Project Group,the Virtual Convergence College,and the​ Content Future Convergence Forum. The conference aimed to share insights‍ into emerging ‍technologies – including realistic media,​ the virtual​ convergence economy, artificial intelligence, and the metaverse – and to cultivate a robust⁤ global network centered ‌around Korea ‍and vietnam.

The event kicked off with‍ welcoming remarks from ​Wi Jung-hyun, Chairperson of the​ Virtual Convergence Economy ⁢Forum, followed by a⁢ keynote address from Lee Eun-kyu, Science and Technology Attaché at the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Lee outlined Korea’s strategic​ direction for Artificial ⁢Intelligence development.

Ha ‌Thi Hong Van, Deputy Director of‍ the Institute of Economics and world Economy at the‍ Vietnam ⁢Academy of Social Sciences, presented on⁣ the progress and challenges facing Vietnam’s digital economy, highlighting the ​potential benefits of strengthened collaboration between the two nations. Wi Jung-hyun⁢ further elaborated on collaborative opportunities​ in a presentation focusing on “Korea-Vietnam Cooperation Strategies ⁢Through the Integration of virtual⁢ Convergence and the Artificial Intelligence industry.”

The afternoon sessions featured ⁢a diverse ⁤range of expert ‍presentations. Professor Ko Hye-young of ​Seoul Women’s University showcased “Prosocial Game Project Education for Social Innovation,” while Acting Secretary‌ General Le ​Toan Thanh provided⁣ an⁣ analysis of “Vietnam’s Startup Ecosystem.” Professor Kang Sin-jin of Hongik University discussed ​evolving collaboration structures⁤ in game development within the age of AI, and Professor Kim Kyuhyun of Chung-Ang University presented case studies on technological‌ convergence across ⁢various industries, specifically‌ focusing on “Artificial ​Intelligence and Animation.” Kim Yong-tae, ⁢Branch Manager ⁤of Letuin Edu, explored “The effectiveness of EdTech in ⁢Advanced Manufacturing Education,” and‌ Professor Won Eun-seok of Mokwon University concluded the conference with a discussion on “Stablecoins and Digital Content Services.”

Chung-Ang University believes the conference considerably strengthened ties between universities, companies, and research institutions⁤ both domestically and​ internationally, creating a solid foundation for ⁢future business ventures in the virtual convergence​ economy.

“This‌ conference represents a pivotal ⁢moment in establishing a collaborative framework for the⁤ virtual‍ convergence industry between Korea and Vietnam,” stated Wi Jung-hyun. “By leveraging the combined technological and industrial strengths of both countries, we can jointly⁤ develop innovative technologies and services that are globally competitive.”

Looking ahead, Chung-Ang University is committed to expanding its cooperative platforms‍ and forging further global ‌partnerships to nurture the growth ‍of the international⁢ virtual convergence economy ecosystem.
