CATL Shenxing Pro: Fast Charging & Long Range Battery

Munich, Germany – ⁣Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL) unveiled its new Shenxing Pro electric ​vehicle battery⁣ in Munich, Germany, boasting both ultra-fast charging and extended range capabilities. The ⁢battery is available in two variants: ⁣a Super-Fast Charging version and​ a Super⁤ Long Life & Long ‍Range version.

Both Shenxing⁢ Pro​ models ⁣utilize Lithium Iron ⁣Phosphate (LFP) materials and are engineered for high ⁤performance, durability, and rapid charging. The key distinction lies in their prioritized features ‍- longevity and distance for the Long Life &⁤ Long Range variant, and charging speed for the Super-Fast Charging version.

CATL⁣ claims the Super-Fast Charging variant⁣ can add 478 kilometers ⁢of range in just 10 minutes – equating to 0.8​ kilometers ⁢per second – and can ‌still⁤ deliver up⁤ to 830 kW of power output even at a 20%⁢ state of charge. The super Long Life⁣ & Long Range variant achieves a WLTP-rated range of up to 758 kilometers with‍ a projected lifespan ⁢of 12 years or 1 million kilometers, experiencing only‌ 9% degradation after ‍200,000 kilometers ‌of use.

Both variants incorporate‍ CATL’s latest NP 3.0 (no Propagation 3.0)⁣ safety‍ system, designed to prevent fire or smoke propagation during thermal runaway, and allow for over an ‍hour of continued operation in emergency situations.​ The Shenxing Pro utilizes a Wave Cell design,featuring a unique shoulder structure and ‍space-sharing technology to enhance cooling and structural rigidity by 25%,while increasing battery volume efficiency to 76%.
