Bahraini bodybuilder Hussein Manouchihri won the gold medal in the world-famous “Mr. Olympia” tournament, which was held in Austria, in the “open category”, thus ending the suffering of four years that he spent away from tournaments due to injury. Manouchehri dedicated this valuable victory to the sports leadership, represented by the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and to the First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Manouchehri will end this year on top, as he also won the gold medal in the tournament held in Portugal during July of this year 2023 and in the open category as well. Hussein expressed his happiness with this victory, expressing his appreciation to everyone who supported him and stood by him, especially his coach Saud Adel Yousef, during his journey to achieve this international achievement, through which he raised the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain high in international forums. These honorable achievements come after a hiatus that lasted more than 4 years. Due to an injury to the knee (cruciate ligament) and to the chest (severed tendons).
