Renée Elise Goldsberry to Sing national Anthem at Ravens-Bengals Thanksgiving Game
Baltimore, MD – November 27, 2024 – Tony Award-winning actress and singer Renée Elise goldsberry will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” prior to the Thanksgiving Day matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals. The Ravens announced Goldsberry as their national anthem performer on November 13th.
Goldsberry is best known for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler in the Broadway hit “Hamilton,” for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and a Grammy Award as part of the cast recording.
Her other Broadway credits include originating the role of Nettie Harris in “The Color Purple” and playing Mimi Marquez in ”Rent.” Goldsberry has also appeared in numerous television series, including “Ally McBeal,” “One Life to Live,” ”The Good Wife,” “Law & order: Special Victims Unit,” “Evil,” “Zoey’s Extraordinary playlist,” “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” and ”A House of Dynamite.”
Rapper Lil Jon will perform as the halftime entertainment during Thursday’s game.
