Washington D.C. – President Donald Trump is in “excellent overall health,” according to a medical evaluation released Monday by Captain Sean Barbabella, teh White House physician. The comprehensive examination included follow-up heart and abdominal scans which showed normal results.
the release of the memo comes after calls from Democratic figures, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, for the results to be made public, citing concerns regarding Trump’s age as he seeks a second term. Trump is 79 years old.
According to barbabella’s memo, the evaluation revealed no evidence of narrowed arteries or abnormalities in the heart and major blood vessels. The president’s cardiovascular system “shows excellent health,” Barbabella stated.
An abdominal scan also returned within normal limits, indicating no acute or chronic issues. Barbabella,a US Navy emergency doctor with service in Iraq and Afghanistan, explained that the MRI was a standard component of an “executive physical” for individuals of Trump’s age, designed to thoroughly assess cardiovascular and abdominal health.
