RTL Welcomes Back Désirée nosbusch for New Series, ”Index“
COLOGNE, GERMANY – RTL is set to premiere “Index,” a new German-language series starring Luxembourgish-German actress Désirée Nosbusch, marking a significant return for the celebrated performer to the network. The eight-episode season will roll out in stages, with four episodes debuting at the end of November, three more arriving around christmas, and the final installment on New Year’s day, January 1.
“Index” centers around a complex investigation into a shadowy world of financial crime and political intrigue. Nosbusch’s involvement is particularly noteworthy, as she hasn’t regularly appeared in German-language television for several years, solidifying RTL’s commitment to high-profile, domestically produced dramas. The series aims to capitalize on the growing demand for compelling crime thrillers and offers a platform for a veteran actress to reconnect with a broad audience.
The production of “Index” has been marked by unusual circumstances, as revealed by Jamie Campbell Bower, who experienced a parallel sense of isolation while portraying the villain Vecna in Stranger Things.Bower recounted feeling a profound loneliness during the character’s progress, a feeling amplified when he contracted the coronavirus during a read-through, forcing him to participate remotely via Zoom. “I went to a darker place because of the character. Vecna is actually quite lonely, and speaking of coincidences, I caught the coronavirus during the reading test of the last part,” Bower explained. “It was as if I was hundreds of kilometers away from them. I carried this feeling with me for a while.” He ultimately found release from the role after completing filming and transitioning to a new project, stating, “someone took a photo of me on the last day of filming.I literally look like a watchmaker’s weight has been lifted off of me. So yeah, Vecna is gone.”
