Ohio State’s Championship Run to be Featured in Amazon Prime Video Series “Redemption“
COLUMBUS, OH – November 11, 2025 – The Ohio State Buckeyes‘ 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship victory will be the subject of a new Amazon Prime Video add-on series titled “Redemption,” set to premiere in early 2026. The series, produced by 117 Productions, will offer an inside look at the team’s journey, from preseason challenges to their dominant performance in the championship game.
“Redemption” aims to capture the faith and resilience central to the Buckeyes’ success, featuring interviews with key players, coaches, and figures connected to the program. The production was considerably aided by the Columbus Motion Picture Incentive, a program designed to bolster the local film industry. This incentive offers a 10% cash rebate for qualifying projects spending $150,000 or more in Franklin County, requiring at least 75% of the crew to be sourced from franklin and surrounding counties, and mandating 75% of filming take place locally.
The series will spotlight the leadership of head coach Ryan Day and the contributions of standout players like quarterback Will Howard, along with insights from Ohio State football luminaries including Urban Meyer,2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, and former Buckeye Braxton Miller. A recent article published by The Columbus Dispatch explored the role of faith within the team, a theme expected to be woven throughout “Redemption.”
film Columbus reports the project’s utilization of regional resources was a key factor in it’s selection for the incentive. The series’ production underscores the growing appeal of central Ohio as a filming location and the economic benefits generated by the Columbus Motion Picture Incentive.
