Sydney Crash: Three Men Hospitalized After Car Hits Pedestrians

Blacktown, NSW – Three men are in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash‌ in blacktown ‍this afternoon, after one car​ veered‍ onto a ⁢footpath adn struck multiple pedestrians.‌ Emergency services were⁤ called to the intersection ‌of ‌Bungaribee Road and⁤ Rooty Hill Road shortly after⁤ 2:00 PM, responding to reports of a serious collision.

The incident has prompted an investigation by the Crash Investigation Unit and renewed calls from local residents for safety improvements at the intersection, wich is known for its high traffic ⁢volume. Police have established a crime‌ scene as they work to ‌determine the​ cause of the crash.

A witness who was working ​from home‌ at the time of the incident reported hearing a loud bang. “It’s very sad for the family involved in these crashes. It’s very difficult to see, very hard to see this,” ​he said.

Debris, including shattered glass,⁢ was‌ scattered across the road following ‍the ⁢impact. One vehicle, a maroon⁤ car, sustained notable damage ‌and was found ‌tipped on its side. A white car was also heavily damaged.

Abu Naser Kabir,a resident of the⁢ area for nearly 10 years,stated that while incidents had occurred previously,”they had not been this bad.” He added,”Regrettably,in this intersection we’ve seen a lot of accidents … I believe this intersection needs⁤ to be⁣ improved considerably.”

Blacktown Police Area Command are continuing⁣ their investigation and appealing for anyone with details ⁣to come forward.
