Inje County: Nationwide Sports Competitions Bring Vibrancy & Boost Economy

inje County Bustles‌ with a November Sports ⁣Calendar

Inje County, Gangwon Province is experiencing a surge in activity as it ​hosts⁣ a diverse series⁤ of nationwide sports competitions throughout November. These events are reinforcing inje’s reputation as a‌ “city of ⁣sports” and providing a significant economic ⁢boost to the local community.

The month began with ​successful tournaments in tennis and soccer. From october 31st ⁤to November 3rd, the ‘2025 ‍Tecnifibre National Youth Tennis Tournament’ showcased the talent of over 400 elementary school athletes at‌ the Inje Tennis Court and Wontong Tennis Court, organized by the ‍Dream Tree Tennis ‌Foundation. ⁣Instantly following, from November 1st to 2nd, the ’22nd Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism National Women’s Soccer Tournament’ drew over 500 female soccer players to Inje ‌Public Stadium and its grass field, hosted‌ by the Korea Football Association.

The momentum‌ continues with ​the ‌’46th National University Taekwondo Club Championship’ scheduled for⁣ November 8th and 9th at inje Multipurpose Gymnasium and Inje gymnasium, ⁤anticipating over‍ 1,100 university athletes. Simultaneously, the ’27th Haneulnaerin Inje ‌County Governor’s National Kendo Tournament’ will​ take place at Wontong gymnasium, featuring more then 500 kendo practitioners‌ and hosted by the ​Inje County Kendo Association with support from Inje County and ​the Inje County Council.

November 15th will see⁣ two further competitions: the ’15th Gangwon ⁣Special Self-Governing Province Governor’s National Health⁤ Qigong Competition’ at‍ Wontong Gymnasium,with approximately 400 participants,and the ’31st Gangwon Special ‍Self-Governing Province Association President’s Gateball‌ Tournament’ at Wontong Sports Park Stadium,a ⁤two-day event promoting intergenerational connection.

Concluding the ⁣autumn sports season, the ‘2025 ‍Basketball I-League ‍Championship’ will be held from ⁢November 29th to 30th ⁤across Inje ‍Multipurpose Gymnasium, ‌Inje Gymnasium, and Nam-myeon Gymnasium, organized ⁣by ⁢the Korea Basketball association and ⁤featuring ‌over 800 youth basketball players.

Beyond‍ these competitions, the Inje‍ Training Center is also ⁢serving as a crucial⁢ training ground.‍ The Korea Para Volleyball Association’s women’s ​sitting volleyball national team will be training at the center⁣ from‍ November 6th to 22nd, following a similar training period‍ completed by the men’s team‌ last‌ month.

Kim Chunmi, Head of the sports ‍and youth Division, stated‍ that the county is dedicated to ensuring the events run smoothly and facilities are well-maintained, providing a positive experience for both athletes and⁢ spectators despite‌ the colder whether.
