Zach Edey Undergoes Ankle Surgery, Expected to Return to Grizzlies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey underwent successful right ankle surgery on september⁣ 27, 2025, the team announced. The procedure addressed an ‌injury ‍sustained during the⁣ offseason, and Edey is ‌expected to make a⁤ full recovery, though a specific return timeline has not been established.

The surgery‌ sidelines the 2023-24 NCAA Men’s Basketball Player of the⁣ Year as the ⁤Grizzlies begin their season, impacting their⁤ frontcourt depth.
