Forza Horizon 6 Races to Japan in 2026
The next installment in the popular Forza Horizon franchise is heading to Japan, Playground Games revealed today via a teaser trailer on the official Forza Horizon Instagram account. Forza Horizon 6 is slated for release in 2026.
The announcement confirms earlier reports from Xbox chief Phil Spencer, who casually mentioned a new Forza title arriving in 2026. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing players to seamlessly continue thier progress across Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. This release adds to a busy upcoming year for Xbox and Playground Games, which is also developing Fable alongside the new forza title, and will see the release of Gears of War: E-Day and a remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved.
Notably, the previous game in the series, Forza Horizon 5, achieved notable success on a competing platform. Released by microsoft on PlayStation 5 a year after its initial launch, Forza Horizon 5 topped Sony’s PlayStation store charts and became one of the most popular PS5 games this year, demonstrating the franchise’s broad appeal.
