ŠKODA EPIQ: Compact Electric Crossover Under €25,000

ŠKODA Unveils EPIQ, Targeting‍ Affordable Electric Vehicle Market

PARIS, France – ŠKODA ​AUTO⁣ has revealed⁤ the EPIQ, a new all-electric crossover positioned as the Czech⁤ automaker’s most affordable electric ⁤vehicle​ to‌ date. The vehicle is designed to ⁤comfortably accommodate five passengers with at least ​475 liters of luggage ⁣space and boasts‍ an anticipated range of​ up to 425 kilometers on‍ a single charge.The EPIQ ‌represents⁣ ŠKODA’s commitment ⁢to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and making EVs accessible to a ​wider audience. The ‍company aims to‍ price the production version ‌competitively with the ‍petrol-powered ŠKODA Kamiq in ⁤many markets, with a target base price of around ⁤25,000‍ euros (approximately 610,000 Czech crowns at current exchange rates).This move comes as the automotive industry rapidly transitions towards electrification, and ŠKODA seeks to‌ maintain its ‌position as a⁤ key ⁢player in the evolving landscape.

ŠKODA⁢ Chairman of the Board Klaus Zellmer stated, ‍”The Car ‍Epiq shows a⁤ specific view ⁢of⁢ another addition to the accomplished ŠKODA electric cars. It⁤ embodies the essence of the Škoda:‌ Modern Solid ‌design language, ‍a spacious compact interior, a user-amiable intuitive ⁣digital interface and Simply⁤ Clever details. With⁤ the ⁣EPIQ, we are taking another step to make electric vehicles a ⁤practical and attractive choice for ​everyday drivers.”

Unlike​ the Superb model, ‍the EPIQ⁣ will not be ⁤manufactured‌ in the Czech ‌Republic.Production ‍is slated to take place at the Volkswagen⁤ Navarra plant in Spain, alongside ⁤related electric vehicles from the Volkswagen ⁤and⁣ Cupra brands.​ The serial version of the ŠKODA EPIQ is ⁣expected⁣ to be officially unveiled to the public next year.
