North Korea Wipes Surfaces After Kim Jong Un’s Beijing Meeting with Putin
SEOUL – Following a meeting between North korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing, North korean staff meticulously cleaned surfaces touched by kim, a practice analysts attribute to stringent security protocols designed to counter foreign intelligence gathering.
The display of apparent camaraderie between Kim and Putin was accompanied by these remarkable measures, revealed in footage circulating on Wednesday, September 3rd. The actions underscore North Korea’s dedication to concealing information, perhaps including details about Kim’s health.
Kremlin reporter alexander Yunashev shared a video on Telegram documenting the cleaning process. two staff members were observed thoroughly scrubbing the backrest and armrests of the chair used by Kim during the more than two-hour meeting. A coffee table positioned next to his chair and Kim’s drinking glass were also removed.
“After the negotiations were over, the staff accompanying the head of the DPRK carefully destroyed all traces of Kim’s presence,” Yunashev stated, referring to North Korea by its official designation.
The meeting concluded with Kim and Putin proceeding to a tea meeting and exchanging warm farewells.
