Swift’s Favorite Italian Spot Expands Reach
New York Bistro Offers At-Home Cocktail Experience
A cherished New York City Italian eatery, renowned for attracting A-list celebrities like Taylor Swift, is now making its signature craft cocktails accessible nationwide.
Via Carota: A West Village Gem
Opened in 2014 by acclaimed chefs Rita Sodi and Jody Williams, Via Carota quickly became a James Beard award-winning establishment. The upscale West Village bistro focuses on authentic, seasonal Italian fare. Its popularity extends to notable patrons such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lawrence, and Adam Rippon, in addition to Swift and her inner circle.
The restaurant’s menu is dynamic, adapting to the freshest ingredients sourced from local purveyors. Diners often find classic pasta dishes like pappardelle with boar ragu and tagliatelle with parmesan. Seasonal highlights typically include various vegetable plates and entrees such as branzino, grass-fed steak, and fried rabbit.
Bringing Via Carota Home
For those outside of New York City, Via Carota has launched a line of ready-to-pour craft cocktails. These can be ordered online for convenient enjoyment at home. The collection features seven classic cocktails, available in single or multi-drink packages.
Offerings include an Old Fashioned, Signature Manhattan, Classic Margarita, and Espresso Martini. While Taylor Swift‘s personal favorite, the French Blonde, is not yet available, fans can still enjoy these expertly mixed libations. The brand also introduced a selection of sparkling cocktails, such as Spritz, Paloma, French 75, and Negroni Sbagliato variations, perfect for sharing.
According to the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, the ready-to-drink cocktail market saw a 17.5% increase in sales in 2022, reaching $1.9 billion, indicating a growing consumer interest in convenient, high-quality beverages (Distilled Spirits Council of the United States).
Prices for these convenient cocktail options range from $39 for a single bottle to $264 for a 24-pack of mini bottles. To enjoy, simply chill the bottle, serve over ice in a chilled glass, and add the appropriate garnish.
