Motorcycle Taxis Accused of Harassing Mother with Infant
Tangerang, Banten – A disturbing incident unfolded as a group of motorcycle taxi operators, known as Opang, in Tigaraksa Sub-district allegedly subjected a mother and her infant to intimidation and forced them out of an online taxi during heavy rainfall. The aggressive actions, captured on video, have sparked a police investigation.
Four Taken into Custody as Suspects
Authorities have apprehended four individuals identified as members of the local motorcycle taxi cooperative. These men are now facing charges after they reportedly cornered an online taxi carrying a mother and her young child. The suspects were publicly displayed by police on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, wearing orange detainee attire and appearing somber.
