2026 Winter Olympics: Thursday Schedule – Curling, Hockey & More on NBC

Su Yiming of China secured gold in the men’s snowboarding slopestyle event at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, on Monday, February 18th. The victory marks China’s second gold medal of the games, adding to Xu Mengtao’s win in the women’s freestyle skiing aerials, also on February 18th.

The competition schedule continues to unfold across multiple venues. Today’s events include ongoing men’s curling matches, with China facing Germany in a round-robin contest. Other curling matchups feature Italy versus Switzerland, Norway against Canada, and Sweden competing against Czechia.

Men’s Nordic combined athletes are currently participating in the team large hill ski jump portion of their event. Simultaneously, competitors are vying for positions in the heats of men’s and women’s ski mountaineering sprints. Later today, the men’s freestyle skiing freeski halfpipe qualifying rounds will begin, followed by qualifying for the men’s aerials event.

Eileen Gu, who previously won silver in the women’s slopestyle, is scheduled to compete again in the women’s big air event. Ning Zhongyan, a bronze medalist in speed skating, is also expected to participate in the men’s team pursuit alongside teammates Li Wenhao, Liu Hanbin, and Wu Yu. Shao Qi secured a bronze medal in the women’s freestyle skiing aerials.

The women’s hockey bronze medal game between Switzerland and Sweden is set for this afternoon, while the highly anticipated gold medal game between the USA and Canada will follow. The men’s curling semifinals are also scheduled for later today.

China has fielded a delegation of 125 athletes – 57 men and 68 women – competing across 15 sports at these Games. As of February 18th, China is ranked 14th in the medal count with a total of 9 medals: 2 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze.
