Bundesliga Beckons for Spurs’ Budding Star
Loan in the cards for young defender
After a noteworthy loan stint in Belgium and his first senior cap for Croatia, defender Luka Vuskovic is on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar. A temporary move to the Bundesliga could be next, though the club is weighing options.
Tottenham’s Pre-Season Strategy
Tom Barclay, a journalist, reported that Vuskovic commenced pre-season training with Tottenham. He joined a small group of senior players at Hotspur Way, ahead of the return of international players next week.
Thomas Frank, Tottenham’s head coach, intends to assess Vuskovic during pre-season. Should the club sanction a loan, the Bundesliga in Germany is seen as the likely destination for the 18-year-old.
Luka Vuskovic made Croatia debut in June but is due to report for Spurs pre-season duty on Sat, even tho internationals do not have to be back yet.

Family Influence
Hamburg and Club Brugge have reportedly approached Vuskovic’s representatives to discuss a potential loan deal. His brother, Mario Vuskovic, is on Hamburg’s squad; the team was promoted to the Bundesliga last season after seven years in the second tier.
Luka Vuskovic’s brother expressed that Luka “would love to come to Hamburg,”
while admitting the ultimate decision lies with Tottenham.
Bundesliga Beckons
The Bundesliga is known for developing young talent; in 2024, the league saw an average of 2.4 goals per game, offering ample opportunity for promising players to shine (Statista).
Tottenham will weigh their options during pre-season training. A loan move to the Bundesliga could offer Vuskovic valuable experience and playing time.
