Kigali, Rwanda – World cycling stars Remco Evenepoel and Tadej Pogačar have completed a reconnaissance of the 2025 UCI Road World Championships individual time trial course, as showcased in a newly released video.The pair meticulously examined the challenging route, offering insights into its demanding features and potential race strategies.
The 2025 World Championships, scheduled to take place in Kigali from September 21st to 28th, represent a landmark event for cycling in Africa. The time trial course, a key component of the championships, is expected to draw meaningful attention due to its technical difficulty and undulating terrain. The menS elite time trial will cover 267.5 km on September 28th, while the women’s elite time trial will span 164.6 km on September 27th.Other race distances include 164.6 km for the men’s under-23 time trial on September 26th, 119.3 km for the women’s under-23 time trial on September 26th, 119.3 km for the junior men’s road race on September 26th, 74 km for the junior women’s road race on September 27th, and 164.6 km for both the elite women’s and under-23 men’s road races on September 27th. The championships will begin on September 21st with various junior and under-23 events.
