Reigning Olympic 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson is set to make a strong statement at the 2025 USA Track & Field Championships. After a somewhat subdued start to her season, Richardson is preparing to compete in both the 100m and 200m events, aiming to recapture her top form.

Richardson’s Determined Return

The American sprint sensation took to social media four days prior to her first event, posting a resolute message: “I will always get back up!!!” Her initial races this year have been limited, but she enters the championships at Hayward Field in Eugene with a clear drive to perform.

Field of Elite Competitors

Richardson will face stiff competition in the 100m against this year’s fastest woman, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, as well as formidable rivals Twanisha Terry and Aleia Hobbs. The 200m race promises another thrilling encounter, with Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas also slated to compete.

The 2025 USA Track & Field Championships are scheduled from Thursday, July 31 to Sunday, August 3. Last year, U.S. sprinters swept the 100m medals at the World Athletics Championships, highlighting the intense domestic talent pool, according to World Athletics.

Event Schedule and Viewing Information

Fans can follow all the action from the women’s sprint events throughout the weekend. The championships will showcase the nation’s premier track and field athletes as they vie for national titles and crucial qualification spots for upcoming international competitions.
