Ukraine Restores Ties with Syria, Discusses Frozen Assets & Weapons Exports

Ukraine Re-establishes ⁢Diplomatic Ties ‍with Syria, ​Gains ⁤Momentum‍ on Frozen Russian Assets

KYIV‌ – ukraine ‍has restored diplomatic relations ⁣with Syria, President volodymyr Zelenskyy announced following ⁤a meeting with Foreign⁣ Minister Andrii⁤ Sybiha, signaling⁤ a ‌renewed ‍effort to⁢ broaden international cooperation. Zelenskyy stated Ukraine is actively working with Syria ‍”bilaterally for the security and growth of​ both countries.”

The proclamation came alongside updates on Ukraine’s efforts to secure funding for its defence and ‌recovery. Zelenskyy ‌reported receiving “positive ⁤signals from partners ‍on the‌ use of⁢ frozen Russian assets” for ‍these purposes.

Ukraine is also focused⁣ on bolstering its domestic arms​ industry and initiating controlled exports of Ukrainian-made weapons. “Another agreement was reached ⁣on⁢ this,” Zelenskyy said, “and we are already‌ working with ⁤four ⁤countries to ‍open ‌our export‌ platforms.”

Zelenskyy further noted record-level participation from ⁣international representatives in events related to Ukraine,indicating growing global consensus. He expressed confidence that the international community⁤ increasingly recognizes Russia as the sole impediment to‌ ending the ongoing war, ‍and that pressure⁤ on Moscow will therefore continue.
