Keith Kellogg: China Holds Key too Ending Ukraine war, Russia‘s Military Strength Overstated

WASHINGTON – Former U.S. National Security Advisor Keith Kellogg asserted that China possesses teh capability to halt Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine “tomorrow,” due to its meaningful economic and military leverage over moscow. Kellogg emphasized Russia’s increasingly subordinate position in its relationship with China, characterizing it as a “junior partner.”

Kellogg’s remarks, reported by Dialog.ua, come amid heightened scrutiny of China’s role in the conflict and its potential influence over russia. He suggested the recent Polish missile incident – attributed to a Ukrainian air defense system intercepting a Russian missile – was a deliberate provocation by Russian President Vladimir Putin to test Western resolve and gauge the boundaries of acceptable action. Kellogg drew parallels to the appeasement policies preceding World War II, warning of a similar global threat if past lessons are ignored.

Despite its resources, Kellogg contends the Russian military is not as formidable as portrayed. He expressed confidence in Ukraine’s ability to resist defeat, citing its strong moral standing and demonstrable success in weakening Russian forces.Notably, Kellogg highlighted Ukraine’s advancements in drone technology, stating the country has surpassed even the United States in this domain, according to a report from nra.lv.

Kellogg also indicated that negotiations regarding security guarantees for Ukraine remain complex.
