‘Fresh Off the Boat’ Star Trevor Larcom Responds to ozempic Rumors Following dramatic Weight Loss
Trevor Larcom, known for his role as Evan Huang on the ABC sitcom “Fresh Off the boat,” is addressing speculation that his 130-pound weight loss was aided by Ozempic or other weight loss drugs. The 21-year-old actor publicly refuted the claims, detailing his year-long journey of calorie tracking and consistent exercise.
Larcom’s response comes amid a broader conversation about the use of medications like Ozempic for weight loss, particularly among celebrities. He explained in a recent interview that he began focusing on his health after reaching 300 pounds at age 18, motivated to make a “ample” and lasting change.”I always struggled with food. I overate. I always ate the wrong things. I loved sugary sodas, things like that. Everything that’s not good for your body that would make someone overweight,” he said.
The actor credited a freind’s advice to adopt a calorie deficit diet, meticulously tracking his macronutrient intake – protein, calories, sugar, and other nutritional components. “I lost the weight in a little bit over one year. By the time I turned 19 years old, I was at 170 pounds,” Larcom revealed. He maintains this disciplined approach today, stating he still tracks everything he eats and goes to the gym six times a week. “That’s the biggest key for me. That’s the biggest thing that helped me lose the weight.”
Larcom shared a TikTok compilation video on September 1 featuring before-and-after clips, captioned “making little trevor proud ❤️.” The video included a throwback clip of his younger self with the text, “I wonder if I’ll be cool when I grow up.”
Fans have widely praised Larcom’s transformation and dedication online, with comments expressing support and admiration for his progress.
