Far-right figure **Tommy Robinson** has been apprehended in connection with an alleged assault at St Pancras station. The arrest occurred at Luton Airport as he returned from a flight.

Investigation Details Emerge

British Transport Police confirmed the arrest of the 42-year-old, whose real name is **Stephen Yaxley-Lennon**, on August 4th. The charge relates to an incident on July 28th at St Pancras station.

Officers intercepted **Robinson** shortly after 6:30 PM. He had reportedly travelled to Tenerife in the early hours of July 29th, following the reported incident.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) for further questioning.

Social Media Footage Shows Confrontation

Video evidence circulating on social media last Monday depicted **Robinson** near an individual on the ground. **Robinson** claimed in the footage that the man had attacked him. The incident took place at London St Pancras station, where **Robinson** had been distributing leaflets earlier that day.

Decades in Public Eye

**Robinson**, a prominent far-right activist for two decades, co-founded the English Defence League in Luton in 2009. The group was active until approximately 2013.

A recent study by the UK’s Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right indicated a rise in online hate speech incidents, with social media platforms playing a significant role in their dissemination (Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right, 2023).
