Google Enhances Video Editing wiht Veo 3.1 Integration in Flow
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – Google has released veo 3.1, a significant update to its AI-powered video generation model, and integrated it directly into Flow, its video editing application. The update promises more realistic video creation, improved editing controls, and enhanced image-to-video conversion capabilities.
Veo 3.1, building upon the May release of Veo 3, allows users to create video clips that more accurately reflect their prompts and now enables the addition of new objects seamlessly into existing scenes. Google plans to further expand Flow’s functionality by allowing users to directly remove objects from videos in a future update.
The latest version also adds sound to all existing Veo 3 features, including the ability to use reference images for character creation, define start and end frames for smooth video generation, and extend existing footage.
Google is rolling out Veo 3.1 across its platforms, including Flow, the Vertex AI platform, and the Gemini API for developers. Sence its launch in May, Flow has seen over 275 million videos created, demonstrating growing demand for AI-assisted content creation.
The integration of Veo 3.1 into Flow and the broader Gemini ecosystem is a strategic move for Google, aiming to provide users with powerful and flexible creative tools, bringing AI-driven video production closer to professional filmmaking standards, amidst increasing competition from companies like OpenAI and Runway.
