Prime Video Releases Documentary on Ingolstadt “Doppelgänger” Murder Case

Ingolstadt,Germany – ⁤Prime Video has released “THE INSTA MURDER,” a new true ‍crime documentary‍ reconstructing the events surrounding ⁣the shocking 2022 murder of‌ Khadidja,a 23-year-old woman found⁤ brutally stabbed in the back ‌seat of a car in Ingolstadt,Germany. the case ⁣gained international attention due to the initial misidentification of ‍the victim and the ⁤bizarre circumstances surrounding the alleged motive.

Initially, authorities suspected Shahraban, the victim’s ex-husband, following their recent separation after a seven-year⁢ relationship. Though, a DNA test revealed the deceased was not Shahraban, but Khadidja – a woman who bore a striking resemblance ⁤to her. Shahraban was then identified as a suspect, accused of meticulously ⁤searching for a doppelganger on Instagram to stage her own death and escape her family.

the documentary features ⁣interviews wiht lawyers and family members of the perpetrators, the victim’s father, ‍and, exclusively, Shahraban’s ex-husband.It details the accusation that Shahraban, along with⁤ an accomplice she had met only days before the murder, lured Khadidja into a forest where she was killed with over 50 knife wounds.

“THE INSTA MURDER” explores the complex questions surrounding the case: Was the motive simply escaping a restrictive life, or ⁣were jealousy, revenge, and hurt feelings at play? ‍Why did the accomplice participate in ‍the crime?

This is the third true crime project⁢ from the beetz brothers for Prime Video, following‍ the critically acclaimed⁣ “GERMAN COCAINE COWBOY” (German Television award 2025‍ “Best ⁣documentary Series”) and “BILLION MIKE.”‍ Suzanne ‌Schattenhofer and Ruth Stückle from Donaukurier also ⁣contribute to the documentary.
