Morocco’s Digital Landscape Expands: Social Media Users Reach 22.8 Million

Rabat⁣ – Morocco’s social media user base continues to‌ grow, reaching 22.8 million active⁢ users as of the end of October,according to recent data from ECO⁤ Inspirations. ‍This figure represents a meaningful portion of the country’s population and highlights ‌the increasing importance of these platforms in daily life. The data reveals varying trends across key networks, with Snapchat and‌ Reddit experiencing particularly strong growth while‌ X (formerly ​Twitter) sees a slight decline.

The Moroccan social media⁣ landscape is diverse, with Snapchat leading in⁢ percentage of internet users reached at 21.5%, equating to 7.64 million users. This is followed by Threads (3.1% or 1.10 million users),⁣ X (3% or 1.08 million users),⁣ and Reddit (2.3% or 801,000 users). Snapchat’s user base has grown by 710,000 (+10.2%) over the past year, with ⁢an additional 520,000 users added between july and October 2025. Reddit’s growth is even more⁤ pronounced, boasting a 143% increase over the year, adding 472,000 users, and a further 83,900 between July and october 2025.

Snapchat maintains a⁤ strong female majority, with 64.6% of it’s users ⁣identifying as female, while Reddit skews male, with a predominantly male audience. ‌X, despite a 6.8% annual ‍decline of 78,600 users, saw⁢ a quarterly gain of 26,400 users ‌between July ‌and October 2025. Threads, positioned as a complement to Instagram and X, has experienced steady growth, ⁣adding 1.1 million users (+2.9%) over the past year.

Across platforms,adult usage varies.Snapchat reports 22.9% adult activity,⁣ Threads 4.1%, and X 3.8%.⁣ The data underscores⁢ the evolving preferences of Moroccan⁣ internet users and the continued relevance⁤ of⁣ social networks for interaction,entertainment,and community engagement.
