milet to Provide New Ending Theme for Freeren the Funeral Season 2
Singer-songwriter milet will contribute the ending theme song,”The Story of Us,” to the second season of the TV anime Fuuren no Freeren (Freeren the Funeral). The announcement arrived alongside the latest promotional video for the continuing series. This marks milet’s second collaboration with the anime, following her work on the first season.
The second season will depict the journey and developing bonds between Freeren, Fern, and Stark, promising both visually stunning animation and dynamic action sequences. milet expressed her happiness at continuing to work on the project,stating,”I’m really happy to be able to travel with Freelen and you again. There is meaning in every step you take, every moment you stop, and every moment you look back. May this song protect you at any time. I wrote ‘The story of Us’ with the hope that it would become like a talisman.” She hopes fans will enjoy the song alongside the anime’s new adventures.
“The Story of Us” will be released on January 16, 2026. Pre-add/Pre-save options are available now through Apple Music and Spotify from November 20, 2025, at 8:00 PM to January 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Pre-saving the song automatically adds it to a user’s library upon release, and a special standby screen is offered as a bonus for those who participate.
