Canton Fair Launches 138th Edition, Showcasing Over 1 Million New Products
guangzhou, Guangdong Province – The China Import and Export Fair, widely known as the Canton Fair, commenced it’s 138th session on Wednesday in Guangzhou, presenting more than 1 million newly developed products. The event, a key indicator of China’s foreign trade, emphasizes innovation, intelligence, and sustainability, according to organizers.
This year’s fair features over 32,000 enterprises and is structured across three phases, running until November 4th. Organizers report pre-registration of over 240,000 buyers from 218 countries and regions – a 10 percent increase from the previous session.
A notable addition to this year’s fair is a dedicated smart medical zone, hosting 47 companies exhibiting technologies like surgical robots, intelligent monitoring systems, and wearable devices. The service robot section also returned, featuring 46 leading companies and showcasing innovations like robotic dogs and embodied robots.
“The Canton Fair has remained a constant for us, a cornerstone in our sourcing strategy, and a gateway into china’s evolving manufacturing landscape,” stated Stefan Hiergeist, country director of Lidl & Kaufland asia. He further described the fair as a convergence point for technologies,product designs,and innovations,offering insight into current market trends and industry direction.
KEENON Robotics, a Shanghai-based company, is showcasing its robotic vacuum cleaners and reception robots – utilized in sectors like hotels, airports, hospitals, and logistics – at the fair.”After displaying our products and services in the fair’s previous session,we have reached international orders with buyers mainly in the United States and Europe,” said Zhou Quan,marketing manager of KEENON Robotics. “We have higher expectations for international orders during the fair as there is great demand for service robots in the international market.”
The Canton Fair organizers confirmed that over 10,000 high-quality enterprises are participating in this edition.
