Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Launches to mixed Reception
Prague, Czech Republic – Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, billed as the biggest installment yet in the popular franchise, released today across multiple platforms, but is facing a stark divide between critical and player reception. The game features a cooperative four-player campaign set in 2035, alongside conventional competitive multiplayer and the series’ signature Zombies mode, with endgame content supporting up to 32 players.
The latest installment boasts a considerable content offering, including 18 multiplayer maps, 30 weapons with modifications, a record number of camouflages for the Black Ops series, and the largest Zombies map to date. Despite this, initial reactions have been notably mixed, particularly among players on Steam, where only 48% of users have given the game a positive rating as of publication.
This contrasts with a current Metacritic average score of 84 based on 14 expert reviews. call of Duty: black Ops 7 is available now on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and 5, xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and is also included with xbox/PC Game Pass subscriptions.
