As first spotted by Business Insider, the app is designed exactly like TikTok, but focuses entirely on these short-form dramas.
Currently, PineDrama features a handful of different series, spanning genres like romance, thriller, and mystery. Episodes drop daily,encouraging users to check back regularly to stay up-to-date with their favorite shows. The app is available on both iOS and Android.
TikTok has been experimenting with longer-form content lately, but PineDrama represents a different approach – doubling down on extremely short-form video, but with a narrative structure. It’s a bet that viewers will prefer a quick, daily dose of drama over scrolling through endless, unrelated clips. Whether it will succeed remains to be seen, but it’s yet another sign of TikTok’s ambition to dominate the video landscape.
