On September 26th, Druckmann shared an image of the saga’s script book on Instagram with the caption: “I don’t see the time to share more updates about the Last of Us when it is the right time.” While not a direct announcement,the message suggests further developments within the last of Us universe are forthcoming.
Druckmann has previously stated he would only revisit the series if a compelling story presented itself, emphasizing a commitment to quality over simply continuing the narrative. This latest post aligns with that sentiment, indicating that Naughty Dog is considering future installments but will only proceed when a worthwhile story is ready to be told.
Currently, Naughty Dog is actively developing other projects, including Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and an unannounced second video game.
