Sales of the new line will begin on February 5th, with pre-orders starting on January 14th. The cost of the Galaxy S21 model will be from 74.99 thousand rubles, S21 + – from 89.99 thousand rubles, S21 Ultra – from 109.99 thousand rubles.
Samsung also introduced the new Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones with active noise canceling and SmartTags, thanks to which you can use your smartphone to find, for example, lost keys to which the tag is attached. Earlier, insiders reported that a similar AirTag technology will be presented at one of Apple’s conferences in 2020, but the new product has not yet been officially announced.

Almost all the characteristics of the new devices were known before the official announcement: on January 13, the well-known insider Evan Blass published screenshots presumably from the Samsung website, which contained detailed information about all models of smartphones, and the German division of Samsung, shortly before the presentation, mistakenly published information on the S21 on the official website Ultra.
How Samsung smartphones are sold in Russia
According to the M.Video-Eldorado group, in 2020 Russians bought 31.5 million smartphones, which is 4% more than a year earlier. In monetary terms, buyers spent 570 billion rubles on devices, which is 15% more than in 2019. Vice-President for Procurement and Development of Svyaznoy Mikhail Dogadin gives more optimistic figures – according to him, 32 million devices were sold in a year worth 574 billion rubles, the average cost of smartphones sold was 18 thousand rubles.
According to Svyaznoy, the five leaders in terms of the number of devices sold in 2020 in piece terms included Samsung (28%), Honor (21%), Xiaomi (17%), Apple (11%) and Huawei (6%). At the same time, in monetary terms, the leader of the rating was Apple (37%), followed by Samsung (27%), Honor (13%), Xiaomi (11%) and Huawei (4%).
“Samsung has been the most popular smartphone brand among Russians for nine years in a row and is one of the key players in the flagship segment. A year earlier, the pre-order for the S20 was very successful, the greatest demand was for classic gray and black colors and older versions of smartphones in the lineup, ”said a representative of M.Video-Eldorado, noting that the company expects a comparable demand for the new flagship line.
