Taylor Frankie Paul Named as the Next ‘Bachelorette‘
Taylor Frankie Paul, known for her role in the TLC series Mormon Wives and her prominent presence on TikTok, has been announced as the next lead of The Bachelorette. The news comes after Paul discussed her potential casting on the Call Her Daddy podcast, initially downplaying it as a joke sparked by a viral TikTok video.
Paul gained widespread attention in 2022 when she revealed her divorce from Tate Paul and exposed a “soft swinging” practice within some mormon communities. This revelation ignited the Mormon Wives franchise, documenting her subsequent relationship with Dakota Mortensen, which ended earlier this year. Her selection as The Bachelorette marks a significant shift for the long-running ABC dating show, bringing in a lead with a pre-existing public profile and a history of navigating unconventional relationships. the next season is slated to air in 2026.
Paul initially created a TikTok on June 17,lip-syncing to a Funny or Die video featuring Lindsay Lohan, with the caption “Sending this in for my chance as the next Bachelorette.” she told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper that she didn’t initially believe her submission would be taken seriously, stating, “I don’t know if that got their attention or someone was like, ’Yeah, maybe,’ and then it was mostly, it was a joke to me, unattainable.”
The influencer is mother to three children – two with her ex-husband, Tate Paul, and one with Mortensen. She recently confirmed her breakup with Mortensen in January, telling CHD that dating multiple people would be “new to me.”
Paul is not the only star from Mormon Wives appearing on ABC programming this year. Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck will both compete on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, which premieres September 16. The next season of Mormon Wives will arrive on November 13.
