Alabama’s men’s basketball team defeated Texas Tech 90-65 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, securing a fourth consecutive trip to the Sweet 16. The game, played at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida, saw Alabama’s Latrell Wrightsell Jr. Lead all scorers with 24 points.

The Crimson Tide established a dominant performance, leading by as many as 34 points. Alabama shot 44% from the field, including 45% from three-point range and 79% from the free-throw line. Texas Tech struggled with their shooting, managing only 34% from the field and 16% from beyond the arc.

Labaron Philon Jr. Contributed 29 points for Alabama, despite the team being without star guard Aden Holloway. For Texas Tech, Christian Anderson’s shooting proved insufficient to overcome Alabama’s offensive firepower.

Alabama’s victory comes after a first-round win, setting the stage for their continued pursuit of a national title. The Red Raiders’ season ends with the loss, marking a disappointing finish for a team that had hoped to make a deep tournament run despite the mid-season ACL tear suffered by leading scorer JT Toppin.

The game was officiated by Ron Groover, D.J. Carstensen, and Nathan Farrell. Alabama secured a 91% win probability throughout the game, according to ESPN Analytics. They finished with 35 rebounds to Texas Tech’s 47.
