Osbourne described the connection forged with these animals as “magical,” noting it’s “built entirely on trust and confidence.” She explained the birds will only perch on someone they sense is “safe and unafraid,” a bond she feels deeply.
“Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with,” Osbourne wrote.She concluded her post thanking fans for the “otherworldly amount of love” they’ve sent her way.
The post follows similar expressions of grief and healing from her daughter,Kelly Osbourne,who also found comfort in falconry. kelly, 40, posted in August that she had rediscovered her smile through the experience, stating, “I absolutely love being with the birds.”
Previously, Kelly Osbourne took to Instagram to thank supporters for their outpouring of sympathy after her father’s passing. “I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough… but from the bottom of my heart, thank you [heart emoji],” she wrote. She added that the “love, support and lovely messages” she received had been invaluable during “the hardest moment of my life.”
Kelly also described grief as “a strange thing. It sneaks up on you in waves – I will not be okay for a while – but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light and the legacy left behind.”
