Sephora’s ‘Perfect Shade For you’ Campaign Champions Inclusivity Across Asia Pacific
Singapore - Sephora has launched “The Perfect Shade For You,” a new campaign across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, developed in partnership with VIRTUE Asia, focused on redefining beauty standards through individuality, authenticity, and inclusivity.
The initiative is part of Sephora’s global brand platform,”We Belong to Somthing Lovely,” and emphasizes the brand’s extensive range of over 1,500 foundation shades,positioning makeup as a tool for self-expression.
Jenny Cheah, Managing director for Southeast Asia, Oceania and India at Sephora, stated, “at Sephora, we believe beauty is inherently diverse and everyone possesses a unique beauty worth celebrating. In today’s context where consumers increasingly demand authenticity and personalisation, especially in a region as culturally rich as ours, it’ll be a remiss if we confine beauty to a narrow definition.”
Cheah further explained, “With ‘The Perfect Shade For You’, we’re investing in a future where every individual in Asia Pacific feels seen, represented, and empowered to embrace their unique beauty. We believe this initiative will drive meaningful conversations and change in the beauty industry and set a new standard for inclusivity.”
The campaign showcases a diverse cast representing various cultures, ages, and backgrounds across the region, encompassing a wide range of skin tones, body types, and hair textures. Personal stories from members of the Sephora squad highlight the positive impact of finding their ideal makeup shade.
“The Perfect Shade For You” is being promoted across ten markets - Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand - through Sephora stores, digital platforms, and social media channels.
This launch follows Sephora’s earlier release this year of the brand film, ‘Beauty & Belonging,’ which explored diverse perspectives on beauty globally. The film reinforced Sephora’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity, and it’s dedication to welcoming all individuals.
