Security Guard Faces Police Examination After Video Shows Forceful Restraint
Oslo, Norway – A security guard employed by Vaktsec is under police investigation following the release of video footage depicting a physical altercation with an individual in an incident captured on camera and obtained by Dagbladet. The video, circulating online, appears to show the guard using forceful restraint techniques, including applying pressure to the individual’s neck.
The incident, the details of which are unfolding, raises concerns about the use of force by private security personnel and the potential for excessive restraint. Police have confirmed they are treating the individual involved as the offended party and have initiated a formal investigation into the actions of the Vaktsec guard. The outcome of the investigation could have implications for security protocols and training standards within the private security industry in Norway.
Dagbladet obtained video of the event, showing a person lying on the ground while surrounded by multiple security personnel-four wearing Vaktsec jackets and one in civilian clothing. The footage allegedly shows one guard in uniform grasping the individual’s neck.
Witnesses at the scene reacted audibly to the unfolding events, with shouts of “Hey!” heard in the recording. The video than appears to depict the same guard using his foot to apply pressure to the individual’s head, forcing it into the ground for approximately ten seconds before removing his foot.
