New Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 Revealed at EICMA 2025
Milan, Italy – Royal Enfield has unveiled teh Continental GT 750 at EICMA 2025, showcasing an evolution of its popular parallel-twin platform. The new model, alongside the simultaneously revealed Himalayan 750, features a displacement increase from 650cc to 748cc.
The Continental GT 750 utilizes a redesigned oil-cooling system to manage the increased power output from the larger engine. while Royal Enfield has not developed a completely new engine, the 15% displacement increase is projected to yield approximately 55 CV (horsepower) and 59 Nm (torque). This represents a modest power increase, exceeding the 48 HP limit for the A2 motorcycle license. The GT 750 features two injectors supplying fuel to the cylinder head, differing from the Himalayan 750’s single injector with a Y-shaped passage designed for increased low-end torque.
Royal Enfield’s strategy regarding the 750 models remains unclear. It is currently unknown whether the Continental GT 750 will go on sale in 2026,or if it will replace the existing 650 family entirely,or be positioned as a top-of-the-line offering within the range. The current 650cc engine delivers 47 CV and 52 Nm of torque, placing it in competition with models like the Triumph Street Twin and Moto Guzzi V7,though those brands have as released more powerful versions.
