Robert Pattinson’s first appearance as Batman fans freaked out

Now we have him – the first impression of what Robert Pattinson will look like in the Batman costume. On Friday, director Matt Reeves presents the new Batman in full gear to the public for the first time. And the fans are …

A video has now been published on the Vimeo platform in the style of Todd Philips, who also showed his “Joker” cast Joaquin Phoenix to the public a year before the actual film was released.

Goosebumps moment: Pattinson as the new Dark Knight

The new Batman is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. The shooting for the celebrity cast Movie have already started. The film is shot in London.

The role of Butler Alfred Pennyworth has been cast with “Lord of the Rings” star Andy Serkis. Colin Farrell plays Oswald Cobblepot aka “The Penguin” and the part of Catwoman Selina Kyle is done by Zoë Kravitz.

Pattinson-Batman initially caused criticism

After announcing the cast, many Batman fans denied the British the ability to play the popular superhero. Mostly for one reason. The critics repeatedly refer to Pattinson’s role as Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” series. They question that someone who embodies such a role can be the right cast for the tough hero of Gotham.

As Deadline announced in May 2019 that Robert Pattinson would take on the role of Batman, it didn’t take long for the comments to break through on this news.

A reader then wrote: “Hoult is clearly the better option.” Nicholas Hoult was Pattinson’s competitor for the cast of the Batman.

Another reader thought that Reeves “obviously sees something in him”. Implication: Whatever “something” is, the writer does not see it.

The clip that Reeves has now shown definitely makes you want more: In a dark, threatening red, the new Dark Knight runs towards the camera. At first still blurry, then the armor is clearly visible.

Pattinson’s costume does not look as “beefy” as that of his predecessor Ben Affleck, but is nevertheless equipped with a robust tank.

In short: the video silenced many critics of the cast – and even caused cheers:

Here are a few reactions from the Internet:

“I love what is happening!”

By the way: The last hit film from the Batman universe – «Joker» – has just won an Oscar. Joaquin Phoenix received the coveted trophy for his performance as the best leading actor.

The marketing campaign for “Joker” started very similar to that for “The Batman”. A good sign?

The tweet compares the first impression of Joaquin Phoenix and Robert Pattinson.

Brexit fan is annoyed by the long queue at airport customs – the reactions are 😂

Everything could have been so beautiful. Imagine:

The population accepts Brexit and Boris Johnson rides an English thoroughbred (i.e. the horse) in Brussels to bring good news to the European people.

Under the roaring noise of fanfares and vuvuzelas (the South Africans were so enthusiastic about the Brexit decision that they could have been re-colonized at will) Johnson climbs the podium set up in front of the EU Parliament, high-fived …
