Hockenheim, Germany – RKG Reilingen/hockenheim has secured a key player for the upcoming 2nd Ringen Bundesliga season, extending the contract of Greco specialist Stefan Clement. The move signals the teamS ambition to not only compete but to contend for top honors.
Clement, a French athlete, recently won gold at the International Grand Prix of Dortmund in the up to 63-kilogram weight class, defeating strong international competition.His accomplishments include a fifth-place finish at the 2024 European Championship and the 2023 World Cup, establishing him as a prominent figure in the sport. RKG managers highlighted Clement’s role as ”a sporty figurehead” and “a role model for the offspring.”
“Stefan has integrated himself into the team excellently - humanly and sporty,” said Coach thilo Dicker. “His success and attitude on and off the mat speak for themselves. We are very happy to go into the new season with him.”
The RKG Reilingen/Hockenheim views Clement’s continued commitment as “a clear sign” of their intent to be aggressive in the coming season.The team’s first match is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. against AC Heusweiler. Their first home fight will be on Friday, October 3, at 5 p.m. against KSV Rimbach at the Reilinger Fritz-Mannherz-Halle.
