Rashford Nears Barcelona Move as Loan Deal Agreed with Manchester United

Jakarta – Marcus Rashford is one step closer to fulfilling his desire to play for Barcelona,with the Spanish giants reportedly agreeing to a loan deal with Manchester United.

The 27-year-old forward has been keen on a transfer to Barcelona as January, when he was loaned to Aston Villa. Rashford has not been a part of manager Ruben Amorim‘s plans at Manchester United adn was placed on the selling list.

Barcelona, in need of a left-sided attacker, has pursued Rashford after failing to secure deals for Nico williams and Luis Diaz. the club quickly opened contact with Manchester United, and an agreement was swiftly reached.

The reigning Spanish League champions are expected to loan Rashford with an option to buy. Manchester United has reportedly given the green light,paving the way for Rashford to travel to Barcelona for medical tests and to finalize the transfer.

A Manchester native and product of the Manchester United academy, Rashford has faced challenges as Amorim’s arrival.In December 2024, he was dropped from the squad due to perceived suboptimal performance in training and not meeting team standards.

Rashford has expressed his readiness for new challenges away from Manchester United. He has struggled to even make the matchday squad recently, leading to his loan spell at Aston Villa.

During his time with Villa, Rashford made a notable impact, scoring four goals and providing six assists in 17 appearances.
