Modi Calls for Unified Global Front Against Terrorism at SCO Summit
Astana,Kazakhstan – Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message against terrorism,separatism,and extremism at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in China,emphasizing that these threats are notable impediments to global advancement. Speaking in the presence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Modi urged a unified international response, rejecting any “double standards” in addressing the issue.
“Security, peace and stability are the basis of the development of any country,” Modi stated, adding that terrorism poses a “common challenge for all of humanity,” leaving no nation or citizen truly safe.
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s proactive stance in combating terrorism, specifically mentioning its leading role in countering Al-Qaeda and disrupting terror financing networks. He referenced the recent deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, expressing gratitude for the support extended by amiable nations.”We have recently seen the brutal Pahalgam terror attack,” modi said, underscoring the continued threat. “India has taken the lead in the fight against terror outfits like Al-Qaeda and its associates, and we oppose any kind of terror-financing.”
