Montero, whose real name is Óscar Daniel Hernández Rodríguez, received the advance from entrepreneurs who hoped increased sales would follow initial promotion. Born August 23, 1974, in Torreón, Coahuila, Montero initially gained recognition within the ranchero genre, influenced by his godfather, Vicente Fernández. He later expanded his career into television, appearing in soap operas including Amor Gitano (2000), Rebeca (2003), and Abrázame Muy Fuerte (2000).
