Omaha police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Walmart grocery store Friday night.
The incident took place near 50th and L streets just after 10 p.m. According to the omaha Police Department, a man approached an employee and demanded money, threatening to shoot them if they didn’t comply. While no weapon was displayed, the employee placed an undisclosed amount of money into a bag provided by the suspect. Robberies at local businesses impact the safety and security of both employees and the wider community, and police are actively seeking details to apprehend the individual responsible.
The suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, wearing a red beanie, surgical mask, black jacket, and blue jeans. He fled the store on foot, heading south.
