Nvidia DGX Spark: AI Supercomputer Now Available for $3,999

Nvidia’s DGX‌ spark,a ‘personal AI Supercomputer,’⁢ Begins Sales October ⁢15th

Nvidia’s highly ​anticipated DGX Spark,a ⁤compact AI ⁢supercomputer designed for individual researchers ‌and‍ developers,will be ⁢available⁢ for purchase starting October⁤ 15th.The system, initially announced earlier this year, aims to bring​ data⁣ center-level AI performance to desktops, potentially democratizing access to advanced ‍AI capabilities.

The DGX Spark represents‌ a notable shift, offering a petaflop ⁢of AI performance – equivalent to a million billion calculations‌ per second – in a device small enough to fit on a desk and powered by ‌a standard outlet. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang previously stated the goal ⁣is “placing an AI supercomputer on the⁤ desks of ⁣every data scientist, AI researcher and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”

originally slated to cost $3,000, the ⁣DGX Spark will now retail for $3,999 directly from nvidia.com⁢ and through select ⁣partners ​and stores​ in the US.‌ Several PC manufacturers are also⁤ offering⁣ customized versions, ​including ‌the Acer Veriton GN100, also⁤ priced at⁢ $3,999.

The Spark is equipped with Nvidia’s GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip,128GB of unified memory,and up to 4TB ‌of NVMe SSD storage,capable of handling AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. Nvidia has encouraged third-party manufacturers to create⁢ their own versions, with Asus, Dell, Gigabyte,⁣ HP, lenovo, ‌and MSI all debuting customized models.

The launch follows an earlier announcement ‌this year where the system was referred to as “Digits.” A correction has been issued clarifying the sales date; previous reports indicated ‍immediate availability.
