Nintendo Museum to Feature Special Mario bros. 40th Anniversary Ticket & Lighting Display
Kyoto, Japan – September 26, 2025 – In celebration of Super Mario’s 40th anniversary, Nintendo has announced a limited-time redesign of its Nintendo Museum tickets and a special lighting display at the museum.
From now until approximately September 2026, all Nintendo Museum tickets will feature a Super Mario bros. 40th anniversary design, replacing the standard Mii design. Visitors who previously selected the Mii design can switch to the anniversary design via the official Nintendo Museum ticketing website before their visit. Nintendo has stated the specific end date for the special Mario design will be announced at a later date.
Further anniversary celebrations will include a limited-time lighting display illuminating the Nintendo Museum facility from Wednesday,December 3,2025,to Monday,April 27,2026. The lighting will be active from 4:00 PM until closing. A special installation featuring the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary logo will also be displayed at the Warp Pipe photo spot throughout the day. Access to the lighting display requires a valid museum ticket.
The museum will also feature an art gallery showcasing artwork from various Mario games. these announcements were made alongside other Mario anniversary reveals during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation.
