The letter from Nadia, Nurse, reopens the discussion on ‘easy’ promotions in the NHS: “in Italy only the recommended ones go on, solidarity with my colleague Marcello for the injustices suffered”.

Hello Director,

I am writing to express all my solidarity with my colleague Marcello who on February 18 told how he was supplanted by his colleague in holding the organizational function, despite not possessing the necessary requisites including the master in coordination.

I can say that I have had a similar experience. I am 50 years old, have been nurses for almost 30 years, during my career path, I struggled a lot to achieve the training obtained by combining study and work, and I can be satisfied with the preparation achieved, but despite myself I find myself forced to do the math, as she asserts Marcello, with the total lack of transparency and rampant corruption, which in spite of the decree of 31 October 2009, is constantly in force especially at the public level.

Unfortunately, however, we are abandoned to ourselves by all the institutions that clearly have an interest in favoring certain subjects regardless of any merit-based modality. And if by any chance you try to raise your head and challenge this system that uses only recommendations, you must begin to fear that everything will backfire!

What a great sadness !!!
