Minnesota Gas Prices Drop to $2.93 Per Gallon – See Local Changes

State Gas Prices Continue Downward Trend

state gas prices have fallen for the second consecutive week,with the average price for regular fuel now sitting at $2.93 per gallon as of Monday. This marks a decrease from last week’s average of $2.97 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Governance (EIA).

The average fuel price in the state has seen a notable decline of approximately 12 cents since last month. Over the past year, state gas prices have fluctuated, reaching a low of $2.85 on December 9, 2024, and a high of $3.36 on August 12, 2024, as reported by the EIA.

Compared to the same period last year, the average gas price in Minnesota is 11% lower, standing at $3.30 per gallon in the previous year.

Nationally,the average gas price last week was $3.12 per gallon, a figure that has remained essentially unchanged from the week prior. This places state prices about 6.3% below the national average.
