Mexico City: Woman Murdered with Rifle in Jalisco Feminicide

A brutal act of violence has shaken Guadalajara, Jalisco, as a woman was murdered outside her home in the Balcones de Oblate colony. The shocking incident, captured on surveillance footage, shows the perpetrator fleeing the scene in a white Chevrolet Equinox truck, which was reportedly missing its rear license plate.

The feminicide occurred in the early hours of Saturday, at approximately 1:36 AM, on Hacienda de Cedros street, near a women’s shelter. The victim, identified only as Carla, was reportedly engaged in a heated discussion with the assailant outside her residence. The video evidence indicates that after the initial confrontation, Carla retreated into her home, emerging with a broken broom and an object, believed to be a knife, which she used to strike the windshield of the suspect’s vehicle.

In a chilling escalation, the perpetrator then opened the rear door of the truck, retrieved a long firearm, possibly an AR-15 rifle, and fired shots near the woman before fatally shooting her in the head. The attack was witnessed by a relative of the victim, who could only watch in horror as the life was extinguished. The assailant remains at large.
